The global pharmaceutical Demand Management Team drives, challenges, influences and coordinates demand management activities necessary to bring demand stability and visibility to Janssen Supply Chain.

The Demand Management Director serves as Leader for the implementation of all strategies and initiatives of Demand Planning to drive continuous improvement to have benchmark processes.

He/She leads the Demand Management team in liaising with the Janssen Op Co’s, in order to challenge, analyze, capture and validate the in market demand data for the tactical horizon. He/She drives collaboration with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the latest market trends are made visible to contribute towards the Janssen Supply Chain strategic and business needs.

The Demand Management Team is the single point of contact for the global Pharmaceutical in market demand data (qualitative and quantitative) for Janssen Supply Chain.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Drive a robust process aimed to ensure the timely availability of the most accurate in market demand from the Op co’s in a monthly cycle

· Ensure enhanced understanding of the rationale behind figures through monthly calls with Janssen Commercial including

· Capturing and understanding the market intelligence

· Discussing Forecast error drivers and opportunities of improvement

· Understand Assumptions taken (units and financial)

· Collect and challenge Upside and Downside scenarios

· Ensure that the demand information is shared with the stakeholders on a regular basis through Brand One Pagers, Demand Planning meeting summaries, web applications and monthly calls with Planning organization

· Partner with Finance to share and support the understanding of the market dynamics within the operational forecast versus the financial business plans/latest thinking

· Ensure a periodic monitoring and follow up (March review, June Update, Oct estimate)

· Monitor and bring rationale to understand potential gaps between operational and financial forecast

· Design and monitor metrics to measure performance

· Ensure that the Next Generation Forecasting tool is embedded in the regions and is the one source of statistical forecasting that feeds the global data repository of in market demand

· Ensure that the Demand Management team is the single point of contact for all in market demand data (qualitative and quantitative) for the horizon of 0-3 years for JSC

· Develop and improve tools in order to speed up and facilitate data collection, analysis and transparency towards our Stakeholders. Drive continuous growth and training in the statistical forecasting arena

· Identify and explore further statistical forecasting process opportunities for improvement

· Ensure the latest technology and improvements are implemented where possible

· Continuously improving analytical capabilities of the team to drive future improvements, including the development and deployment of automated tools

· Partner with BU/IT to ensure the timely development of new technology solutions

· Ensuring the updating of documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning, forecasting processes and systems

· Contribute to the J&J Supply Chain PLAN roadmap in relation to Demand Planning processes through partnering at the Sector and Enterprise level
Desired Skills and Experience
Degree or BA in Business Administration/Engineering/Supply Chain/Mathematics/ Forecasting or equivalent

· Minimum 10 to 15 years of supply chain experience with a good understanding of the end to end processes

· Strong partnering and understanding of Planning support needs of the Enterprise and Sector

· SAP, MS-Office tools, ERP packages and other relevant IT systems knowledge with focus on planning and forecasting

· Experience in (statistical) forecasting and knowledge Demand Planning (DP SAP) system is preferred

· The role will interact with other members of Janssen Supply Chain and Janssen Commercial teams; therefore strong interpersonal and collaboration skills are required, including ability to work well between functions and across all levels of the business, able to partner with resources from different departments and at different levels of expertise

· Strategic perspective and ability to integrate vision across multiple functions and translating strategy into execution

· Challenging mindset and be able to extract qualitative information whilst teaming with Business Partners

· Adequate social and partnering skills: attitude for dealing with people in international and diverse environment

· Excellent communication and analytical skills (including to-the-point reporting). Ability to prepare and deliver presentations on the relevant facts and figures is fundamental

· Strength in interdependent partnering and team management

· Experience in People Management including virtual relationships

· Ability to work in a matrix organization with a pro active and collaborative mindset

· Collaborates and influences effectively without authority to achieve performance improvement

· Ability to embed a culture of harmonization and process improvement and value creation

· Excellent verbal and written English competency required

· Good organizational skills

· Serve as a role model for Credo based decision making
